Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I love the season, the decorations, the costumes and the candy! One of these years I'm going to find enough time to make costumes for Chris and I, but it wasn't this year. The night before Halloween we carved pumpkins. I decided I was going to try to make some delicious treat with the pumpkin guts and roast the seeds in a new way. Both failed miserably. I'll go back to my old ways next year. Landon decided he was going to carve his own pumpkin this time around and did a great job once we got the knife pointed in the right direction.
Ainsley and Landon both dressed up as the 11th doctor from Dr. Who. Landon was going to be the 10th doctor, but it was a lot easier to outfit the 11th doctor. Plus he had the 11th doctor's sonic screwdriver. Kaylee, of course, wanted to be a bad guy, so she dressed up like a Dalek.
This year we decided to let Ainsley trick or treat with her friends. She invited four friends (two of whom were also various doctors) over for dinner and trick or treating.
I took Landon and Kaylee out for trick or treating (Chris stayed home to pass out candy). Kaylee was collecting candy in her plunger (I had a plastic bag I was holding for her to drop off the candy in between houses, so yeah, I carried Kaylee's candy). It was hilarious to watch people's reactions when she'd hold up the plunger. A few asked her if it was clean. The one's who recognized her costume thought it was awesome. She got a lot of laughs. That totally made the night extra fun. At the end of the night everyone was happy and loaded with candy. Success! Happy Halloween!
