I can hear Kaylee yelling at Chris right now, "You're so mean!" Is he being mean? Probably not. This morning she was telling me, "You're making my life miserable!" I think this is all coming from the mayhem we've experienced the last couple of days. We're so excited to go to California tomorrow but getting ready is not an easy feat. And, we'll miss Chris. I'm about half way packed and ready to call it quits for the night - we don't leave until tomorrow evening.
One of the things I did today was tape Kaylee's bedroom in preparation for the paint job Chris volunteered to complete while we're away. He told me that if I would tape, he would paint. This evening Kaylee approached me with, "Am I going to hibernate in Ainsley's room tonight?" (when Ainsley's room was being painted, Ainsley "hibernated" in Kaylee's room for a few nights). We told her that she needed to sleep in her own room because we wanted her to get a good night sleep and figured she and Ainsley would be up all night if they were sharing a room. This did not please Kaylee, and she replied, "I don't want to sleep in a tape room!" I asked her why not, thinking it would have something to do with being scared. That was not the case. Her response, "I don't want to sleep in a tape room because it might get too sticky!" How can you argue with that?
Last Sunday Landon came home from nursery with a crown of sorts that said, "I'm a brother." He absolutely refuses to wear hats. We've tried and tried but he can't stand to have anything on his head. So, when he came home wearing his crown we were in shock. He wore it until it broke - it ended up ripped in half.
There's not a whole lot of news on Ainsley's end. She's been helping me get ready for our trip and is very excited to visit her grandparents for a few weeks.
Our flight doesn't leave until 6:55pm tomorrow. We arrive in California at 10:35pm Texas time. Yikes! I'm prepared for three cranky kids. Wish me luck!

Good luck! I wish I were brave enough to fly alone with the kids. I just cannot imagine it right now. I would never make the connecting flight!
I know what you mean. We were lucky enough to get a direct flight. I don't think I would dare trying if we had to switch planes.
Oh my goodness! Kaylee is hysterical! She's sounds about as dramatic as Mindi. It's really too bad they can't live closer. I can only imagine the crazy things they would come up with together! I hope you guys have lots of fun in California. I wish we were going! Maybe next time you make a trip out there we can plan to come too when we actually have some $$. Tell your family and everyone HI for us and good luck with the flight! I can sympathize after our 5 hour flight to Florida but I had 6 other people there to help me with the kids! You are a brave woman!!
I can totally relate on trying to get the kids ready and packed for a trip. I feel your pain. Although as I am writing this I realise that you flew in to California a couple of hours ago and now have help from Grandma and Grandpa. Isn't that wonderful?:) I hope that you enjoy your trip. Seeing family is always so nice...we deffinitely enjoyed our trip:) Tell your mom and dad that I said hi and give them big hugs for me. Love ya!
I spelled definitely wrong...I know! I guess we all can't be perfect...because I'm so close you know. hahaha. I thought you'd all enjoy a good laugh:)
