Fall Has Arrived
As I walked through a sea of burnt orange at Walmart today I started thinking about how I love this time of year. The end of summer blues have passed, and we're back into a routine. It's crazy, it's busy, but we're happy. The promise of cooler weather is just around the corner. Weekends will now be full of adults walking around in their University of Texas gear and children running around in their soccer uniforms. I'll be pulling out my Halloween decorations next week, and we'll be decorating our annual Halloween tree soon. Cutout sugar cookies will be made, and I'll start including pumpkin in my baking. Soup will soon be a dinner staple again, and I won't have to worry about turning my house into a giant oven (or sauna on humid days). Fall has arrived.

I can taste the soup and smell the pumpkin. I love the burnt oranges and browns of Fall too. But alas, we are having a heat wave here...sigh!
