Field Trip to the Fire Station

Today Landon and his preschool friends went on a field trip to a fire station. The tour was fantastic, and Firefighter Patrick did a great job teaching the kids about the life of a firefighter while using examples that were on their level.

Landon was very enthusiastic about the tour. I kept having to remind him that it was Firefighter Patrick's turn to talk, haha. His boisterousness did end up getting him picked to carry a potholder around with him while we were touring. The reason for the potholder was that Firefighter Patrick compared it to the suits they wear while fighting fires. The kids also got to watch Firefighter James put on his suit in approximately 1 minute. He then crawled around on the ground pretending to find the kids in a burning building. It was pretty cute.

I am so sad we missed it. I didn't get your email until 11:00 a.m yesterday morning.

It looks like so much fun!

We will have to try and do it with our little playgroup.

So it starts the girls and the boys sitting separately with a little space in-between. They all look so cute in their fire hats. I love it that Landon is so enthusiastic--may he never lose that great quality!

What fun--the firetruck is always a big hit! It's also nice when you get kid-friendly firefighteres, too.
