Kaylee the Weather Girl

Every Tuesday morning our local Fox News station invites a child to join their weather forecaster to help forecast the weather. Kaylee loves science and weather, so I thought she'd be a pretty good candidate. I had to write a short paragraph about why I thought Kaylee should be chosen and send in her picture. They picked her! She was actually supposed to be on their morning show two weeks ago, but they ended up having to cancel due to the Boston bombings. Last week she was taking a standardized test all day, so they let her come today.

She was up and ready to get going at 5:15 this morning. When we arrived at the news station she waited in the "green room" until Zack (their nice Meteorologist) was ready for her. She had the opportunity to learn about forecasting weather and was able to help make one of the weather maps she would be using. She had two segments on their morning show that turned out so cute. After her time on TV Zack took her on a tour of the news station. She ended her morning taking pictures with Zack and the news anchors. What a fun experience for her!
