Kaylee turned 17 the week following Snowpocalypse. It was a bit hard finding ingredients for the dinner and cake she wanted due to still empty store shelves but we mostly managed. Her birthday was on a Wednesday but continued the rest of the week as late presents and grocery items kept arriving. We're still waiting for at least one more birthday card.
We celebrated our Texas girl with a boot shopping trip, a photo shoot, cilantro lime chicken for dinner, and a three layer made from scratch chocolate cake that was deliciously rich for dessert.
We celebrated Alice with a clover ring that became a crown, a heaping plate of cilantro, a few tiny pieces of strawberry, and a mobile that was given to her during Snowpocalypse because her hay situation was precarious and we were trying every method we could think of to get Timothy Hay into her little rabbity body. Her good hay arrived on her birthday and she was in heaven.
Happy, happy 17th birthday Kaylee! It is hard to believe you will officially be an adult next year. You bring so much joy and laughter to our family. We love you so much!
