Chris' mom went home yesterday, which officially ended summer vacation with our California family. We were sad to see it end but it was great fun while it lasted.
One thing we did with Chris' mom was visit the Texas Natural Science Center on the UT campus. We've been there multiple times and the kids always love it. Kaylee loved all of the stones and gems that were on display. The girls wanted to know if their birthstones were among the collection. I had no idea what their birthstones were! After debating what they could be, we finally figured it out at the end of our trip. In the gift shop were rings with birthstones. We learned that Ainsley's is garnet and Kaylee's is amethyst. Kaylee was delighted that amethyst was on display in the museum and had me take a picture of her next to her birthstone. After the museum we went to Hula Hut for dinner. Hula Hut has definitely turned into a place we go to with our out of town guests so if you ever want to try Hula Hut come and stay with us. We love visitors!

We'd love to come and go to Hula Hut! Unfortunatly, we cann't afford the airfare. I really wish we could dissapparate, like in Harry Potter! We haven't been to CA in 18 months and won't be anytime soon:( If you guys ever wanna see the East Coast, you've got a place to stay, too!
We'd love to come and visit you and the East Coast! But there's always that little annoyance called airfare. We're lucky that my parents have been able to fly us out to California because if that wasn't the case we probably wouldn't have gone for at least 5 years now. If you ever figure out how to dissapparate let me know! :-)
