Graduation

On August 14th I finally became a college graduate! I am so grateful that Chris' mom talked me into attending Commencement. It was really exciting to see my name in the program and realize that, yeah I really was graduating! Anyone who knows me well knows what a burden it was to be so close, yet so far from graduating. I now feel like I have the choice whether or not I want to further my education, but I'm no longer pressuring myself to go back to school. It feels great! Now, on with the pictures!

After graduation the kids were acting like a bunch of goofballs, and we ended up with some pretty hilarious photos. We came home with a lot of pictures but the funny ones are my favorites.

Of course we ate lunch at the Cougareat! I remember eating at the Cougareat when I was Landon's age and my dad was finishing his degree at BYU. It was more like a cafeteria and not a bunch of fast food restaurants when I was a kid. I actually remember eating their awesome burritos when my parents would take me there. After lunch we toured the campus for awhile. I had to show my kids the GIANT set of stairs I walked up and down every day to get to school. After finishing up one last set of pictures, we headed to my cousin Kelli's house for a barbecue. What a great day!

Congratulations! What fun to go back and see our old stomping grounds, and that picture of the stairs is awesome! I guess that's one of the reasons I weighed 20 lbs less in those days (I guess the 3 kids didn't help either)! And I totally forgot that it was called the cougareat. Don't know why, but it's funny.

I call foul! I count at least 2.72 smiles in those pictures.
