Snow In Texas

On Friday the girls stayed home from school due to a snow day. If it snows here we become disabled, and everything is closed. It's great! We woke up to snow covered everything. It was just a light dusting, but it's more than we usually get. We were happy that the schools were closed but the downfall to no school is that they now have to make up their snow day on Memorial Day. Boo!

The snow didn't last long. It pretty much started melting right away. By Saturday all that was left was part of a small snowman Kaylee and I had attempted to build. She had wanted a snowman "like the ones they build in Oregon", but her feet were too soaked and cold before we could create one of that caliber.

On Saturday the weather was warm and sunny. We were outside geocaching all afternoon and were getting hot in our long sleeved shirts. Crazy Texas weather!

Wow, it does look like quite a bit of snow to my wimpy California eyes. The pictures are fun, especially the one of Kaylee kneeling in her pajamas gazing at the last of the snow.

Wish I could say looks like fun--but we are SO SICK of snow here. It'll probably be here for at least 2-3 more months, too. Enjoy your nice weather a little for me!
