Santa Cruz and Jelly Belly

One of our last outings while we were visiting California was to Santa Cruz and The Boardwalk. The Boarwalk has a deal on Mondays and Tuesdays where every ride costs one ticket and hot dogs, sodas, and cotton candy are $1 each.

We arrived in the late afternoon and snuck in a couple of caches before heading to the rides. We all rode the log ride together and got soaked. We rode the Cave Train for Chris (his favorite) - hopefully next summer he'll be with us. Landon wasn't big enough to ride The Big Dipper, but the girls were. Kaylee loved it. Ainsley was a good sport, but I think it was a bit too wild for her.

The day after Santa Cruz, my mom and dad took the kids to the Jelly Belly Factory. I stayed home to rest and pack.

Despite all the sickness, we had a wonderful time with our California family this summer. Let's just hope next summer is healthier!
