San Francisco

My dad suggested one day that we head to San Francisco and walk across the Golden Gate Bridge. The day started out a bit rocky, and my mom and I weren't sure if the kids were actually going to enjoy the trip. We decided to go because my dad really wanted this adventure, and an adventure it was! It was probably one of the best day trips we went on this past summer. We toured the bridge and picnicked in the parking lot.

After the bridge we decided to drive across and hang out at one of the beaches in the area. We also stopped at a lighthouse, but it had already closed for the day. Ainsley wasn't in the mood for photo taking, so sadly she isn't in most of the pictures. At the beach, we were searching all over for whole sand dollars, and I finally found one! It was a great day! I love being outside, and nothing beats being outside in the Bay Area.

One last thing I'll mention is that we did spend one other day in SF. We decided to tour the new Exploratorium. This is a museum I went to as a kid, but it has since moved from it's original home. It was so busy, and there were unattended kids overrunning the place. We had a nice time, but the Golden Gate Bridge couldn't be beat. We rode BART that day, and I think the kids actually liked BART better than anything else!
