A few months ago Landon approached me with the desire to have a birthday party with friends. The only time he's had more than one friend over on his birthday was when he turned four (that year there were two friends). It's not because we don't like his friends at our house. It's because we're always in California on his birthday. He's had many fun birthdays in California (and will again this year), but celebrating with his friends sounded fun to him this time around. We decided that we'd party one month early, so we sent out Evites and hoped his school friends wouldn't be on vacation at the end of June. They were all able to attend (Zoe had to arrive late, but she still came), and he did have lots of fun with his friends.
Top Golf was first with a little bit of foosball at the end. Once we got home they ate pizza, had candy instead of cake, and watched The Lego Batman Movie. It was a very merry unbirthday indeed!
