Spring Break

Spring break seems like it was ages ago, but I guess it's only been three weeks. And no our spring break doesn't coincide with Easter, we're all about SXSW here in Texas.

Grandma Y. was here over spring break this year. We went on a couple of fun day trips with her and enjoyed the nice weather. First was the Waco Zoo. If anyone who reads this has ever been to the Oakland Zoo it's very comparable. Nice habitats=happy animals.

The kids were swallowed by a giant snake!

My little (and big) map readers

Stopping for a snack

Sometimes I think this big guy might be living at my house, but then I remember my kids are just really loud.

Monkeying around

We also spent a day at McKinney Falls. I love this park, and it's such a short drive from our house.

Hiking to the upper falls

Ainsley getting a little dare devilish (really this is dare devilish for our careful little girl).

Going for a hike. I dropped my camera bag in the river on accident. The kids were convinced we would come across it on our hike. No such luck. Poor Landon was pretty bent out of shape over the whole thing.

A picture with Grandma

It was a good week. The kids seem rejuvenated and able to finish off the school year with a bang (or at least finish it). There had been a lot of talk about homeschooling (especially on Kaylee's end) before spring break. Here's to Spring Break!
