We went to the Texas Book Festival a couple of weeks ago. After a picnic lunch on the lawn at the Capitol the kids ran around for a bit and then we enjoyed everything bookish.
One of the kids' favorite authors was there. Louis Sachar is probably best known for his book "Holes" but our kids love him for his "Wayside School" series. Kaylee loves the "Bad Kitty" chapter books so she was thrilled when Bad Kitty herself made an appearance. Landon was happy and excited (that came directly from him) when he crossed paths with a Storm Trooper. Ainsley loves reading so she was in heaven at the book festival. It was a fun day!
