California 2009 - Part VI

Fairyland

Fairyland is another park that brings back childhood memories. Taking the kids here with Chris' parents seems to have become yet another visit to California tradition. Landon absolutely loved Fairyland. It's so fun for the little kids because everything is their size. He keeps talking about going back next time we go to California. He can even find Oakland (where Fairyland is located) on a map of the United States. Some Fairyland highlights include: The slides! Specifically the dragon slide. This slide is so fast it has age restrictions! Kaylee conducted primary in the little chapel. The pirate ship. This was always something that kind of freaked me out as a kid. I have a slight fear of heights, so climbing up the pirate ship was really scary. Ainsley was a bit hesitant at first, but once she saw Kaylee scale the net effortlessly she decided to give it a shot. After our day at Fairyland the girls went home with Chris' parents to spend a few days by themselves while Landon and I headed back to my parents' house.
